is liberating. Imagine: I can leave a plate of food:grilled chicken, salad and a glass of wine, go away for as long a while I need, come back and ...lo and behold, the chicken is still on my plate, untouched, and the glass of wine has not been turned over, either, in the cat fight for the chicken. Marvellous!
But life without cats already feels at least a tad empty. I miss my rascals and their antics.

Who has them? Are you comming back to PR? Great pictures!
Jeff
Thanks, Jeff, and don't worry. They are at (their and mine) home and a friend comes daily to feed them and play with them. And yes, I am coming back to PR in about a month.
I am sure they will be glad to see you when you return.
We just took one of the strays to the vet for stiches. Since it was such a chore (and painful) to catch her we had her spayed, dewormed, and all her shots. She spent 7 days in our spare shower and we just let her go outside today. She is still ferrel and can't be picked up. I thought after 7 days in our house and in our company she would become more tame. Nope, but her mom and sister who live outside are becomeing nicer.
Chicken Little, the stray we nuetered is doing great. He loves being with us.
Have a safe trip back.
Jeff
Well, this certainly is a topic for blogging: the strays in Puerto Rico, both cats and satos, dogs.
All roads are full of them and many bear scars of being scalded by hot water.
If more of them were spayed/neutered, this would limit overpopulation.
I have four cats because two of them are Puerto Rican kitties, found lost or abandoned, in need of a home, food, affection and medical attention: deworming, immunization, neutering, etc. - and it is not cheap. Many families can't afford to do it on their own, but many more should contribute some funds to animal rescue institutions.
